Healthy for the Holidays

It’s hard to believe that 2021 is coming to an end! We want to give you some tips so that you can stay healthy this holiday season and enjoy the celebrations with your loved ones!

1. Stay hydrated! The body NEEDS water and drinking is something that is easy to forget when we are busy. Try and fill up a big water bottle at the start of your day as a reminder!

2. Add exercise into your schedule. Getting some type of movement in daily is very important for your health. Pencil some time in your schedule for exercise whether it is going for a walk, cycling, weight lifting, etc.

3. Start your day with a nutritious breakfast. This ensures that you are still getting in healthy calories before celebrating with those splurge meals. This is a good time to remember to take any supplements, as well! Probiotics are great for gut health and as you may know, the core of our immune health is in our gut.

4. Bring a healthier dish to parties. Remember that healthy meals can taste just as good, if not better! There are many recipes online that have a variety of healthy appetizers, entrees, and even desserts!
5. Moderation is key! This is with all things in life. Enjoy the great food and drinks but try not to overindulge!
